The process is as follows. - The gearbox oil temp needs to be between 40 and 70C, so the car needs to be warmed up. - You'll need an extended ForScan licence. - Connect your laptop to the car, open ForScan, go to the Service Procedures tab, and run the TCM - Clutch Adaptive Learning procedure.
The second thing to consider is what viscosity or grade of oil you need. Most oil manufacturers have a strict recommendation for the turbo-diesel in your Mondeo, and that’s a 0W30 oil. Straying from this viscosity could be asking for trouble as that’s the oil the engine was designed to use.
Car is 2001 x-reg Mk3 2.0 Petrol Auto Zetec Mondeo with 69k. Only problem I know of is ticking tumble flaps (removing them next week). I have noticed another issue twice now : 99% of the time the car behaves as it should. Very occasionally (it's happened twice) I seem to lose power. I will be tootling along at, say, 30 and need to accelerate.

Some dealers advertise them as Automatic, others as Powershift. I know the transmission is designated as the 8F40. Can anyone advise for certain (with a link to proof) if these 8 speeds are DCT (Dual
Posts: 136. MC Mondeo dual clutch automatic problems. It looks as if the Ford wet clutch transmission develops a similar problem to the dry clutch, sadly. My car is an October 2012 MC Mondeo Titanium, 2.0L turbo petrol with the dual clutch automatic. I bought it as a demo in July 2013, with 8000 km on the clock and it’s currently showing 67,000. The ford auto box is very reliant on the fluid being intact. I breaks down with use and can lead to failure of the box if in poor condition. I have no issue with this, it works hard and its a good gearbox. Change the fluid and it will last the lifetime of the car. The thing that really annoyed me is that it is not in the service schedule. 7IRcJk.
